1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly when you sign up or use the Service, including:
- Name
- Email address
- Mobile phone number
- SMS consent status and timestamp
We also collect basic usage data (such as log data and approximate location derived from IP address) needed to operate the Service.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Send you SMS notifications and alerts (such as contest schedules, reminders, and result notifications) if you have opted in;
- Communicate with you about the Service;
- Keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
3. SMS data and consent
When you check the SMS consent box on our sign-up form, we record your phone number, the exact consent language you agreed to, and the timestamp of your consent. We retain these consent records for at least four years as required by US telecommunications regulations.
No third-party sharing of phone numbers or SMS opt-in data. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in information with any third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances.
4. How to opt out of SMS
You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send, or by contacting us at breakingfire2020@yahoo.com. Opt-out requests are processed within 10 business days. After you opt out, we retain your consent-revocation record for our compliance logs but will not send you further SMS messages.
5. Sharing with service providers
We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, our SMS delivery partner Infobip, and our hosting provider). These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards and may not use it for their own purposes.
6. Cookies
We may use cookies or similar technologies to remember your session and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
7. Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. SMS consent records are retained for at least four years after consent is given or revoked.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location (including California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Contact us at breakingfire2020@yahoo.com to exercise these rights.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by email or through the Service.
